Which is the one fact that makes private affordable for some people and expensive for others.
How each level is priced

What to check in a quote
- Is the vehicle private for every game drive, or only at some camps?
- Is it private on the road transfers too?
- Is the guide the same throughout, or camp-allocated?
- If it says "private on request", what is the supplement, in writing?
- For a private guide: are their flights and accommodation inside the quoted figure?
- For exclusive use: what is the minimum party, and the supplement below it?
Why we quote it both ways
Because "how much more is private?" has no general answer. It depends on the camps, the season and your party size, and it ranges from nothing to a great deal.
So we price the same itinerary shared and private as two lines. You compare real numbers and decide, rather than accepting or rejecting a vague upgrade.
Where we would spend it instead
If your budget will only stretch to one of: a private vehicle, or two extra nights, or a better camp, for most people, in most trips, take the private vehicle.
The exception is a short single-camp trip, where a better camp in a better location does more for you.
